Walking, socks and cakes celebrate World Down Syndrome Day

On a perfect sunny morning, Team Darbyshire—a family of four—set off early from home and walked 21 miles along the coast, heading north, then south, before returning home. Along the way, family and friends joined them for a picnic and a play-park pit stop. Their epic walk raised an incredible £1,655

Cakes raise £171

Cakes were baked and sold at Fishbourne School. Well done Daisy and Finn for selling them so quickly, there was no time to take a photo!

Lucas loves socks!

His successful bid to ‘Stand out Socks’ provided him with 150 pairs of bright socks to sell to his school, family and friends. Raising £838 for CADSG funds.

St Mary’s School tucked into Sue’s bakes and donated £42

Numerous members shared photos of their multicoloured, mis-matched socks on social media, increasing awareness and celebrating Down syndrome.
